Production of information recording medium
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To produce easily with high accuracy an information recording medium, by irradiating selectively the laser light to the surface side of a substrate to obtain a cross sectional form corresponding to the energy distribution of the laser light. CONSTITUTION:A photoresist 31 is applied on a disk substrate 30 of glass, acrylic resin, etc., and the laser light 32 having a density distribution approximated with a Gauss distribution is selectively irradiated to the resist 31. Both the intensity of the light 32 and the thickness of the resist 31 are controlled to form a group 33 having a Gauss distribution form at the area irradiated by the beam 32 as shown by B after development. In this case, the substrate 30 is revolved at a constant speed while shifting an optical system precisely, the group 33 can be formed on the entire surface of the substrate 30. In such a way, a mother disk 34 is obtained. The plating of nickel, etc. is applied to the disk 34 to obtain a stamper 35 as shown by C. Thus it is possible to obtain a stamper directly from the mother disk 34. This eliminates an etching process, etc.
