Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To maintain the depressing force of a lift member constant against sheets of recording paper different in weight according to the size by shifting a depressing force adjusting member with its thickness charged in conjunction with width regulating plates shifted according to the size of the recording paper. CONSTITUTION:Width regulating plates 3A, 3B slidable in the width direction W along guide grooves 2A, 2B formed on a bottom wall and a T-shaped bottom plate 4 are provided in a cassette main body 1. In this case, a pair of long holes 5A, 5B extending in the width direction W are formed on the upper portion 4b of the bottom plate 4, and a pair of guide pins 7A, 7B provided on a depressing force adjusting member are slidably inserted into the long holes 5A, 5B respectively. The thickness of said member is changed in the width direction W and a connection ear at one end is linked to the width regulating plate 3A through a pair of links. Thereby, said member is shifted together with the width regulating plates 3A, 3B according to the size of the recording paper, thus adjusting the lifting force of a lift member.
