Square-shaped chip parts and mounting device thereof

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the slippage of position of the chip parts, and to enable to obtain sure solder fixation by a method wherein transference preventing protrusions are provided to the chip parts itself, and the chip parts is fixed to a substrate having cut parts to engage with the protrusions of the chip parts thereof. CONSTITUTION:Conductor lands 5a, 5b are formed on the surface on one side of a substrate 4, and cut parts of two pieces are provided between the lands 5a, 5b. The cut part may be formed as the cut part 10a according to a penetrating hole, and the cut part 10b according to a non-penetrating hole is also favorable. At construction like this, outside terminals 3a, 3b provided at the mutually facing both corner parts of the chip parts 1a are positioned respectively on the lands 5a, 5b of the substrate 4 through cream solder 6, and the conic protrusions 9d of two pieces formed in one body on the mounting face 8 of the chip parts 1a are engaged respectively with the cut parts 10a, 10b of the substrate 4. Because the protrusions 9d of the chip parts 1a are engaged with the cut parts 10a, 10b of the substrate 4, transference of the chip parts 1a is not generated, and the outside terminals 3a, 3b are soldered to be fixed surely to the lands 5a, 5b.
