Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To secure the contact between a magnetic disk and a magnetic head, by providing a pad for pressing the magnetic disk against the magnetic head not only at a position facing the magnetic head, but also at a front and a rear position in the rotating direction of the disk, and rotating the disk in a mountain shape. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic head 14 is pressed against the floppy disk 87 with a pad 94, and pads 95 and 96 are provided at the front and rear positions in the rotating direction of the floppy disk 87, which is pressed. The pads 94-96 are fitted to a pad arm 70 and the pads 95 and 96 are adjusted in height with a shaft 97 and a screw 98. Consequently, the floppy disk 87 is rotated in the mountain section shape to hold the contact with the head 14 securely, carrying out recording and reproduction accurately.
