Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To mass-produce the integrated circuits with high accuracy by using resistors, which are connected in series or connected in parallel or connected through these combination and can be regarded equivalently as one resistor, in the semiconductor integrated circuit device with a trimming resistor on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A switch SW1 is brought to a close state and an SW2 to an open state at the initial stage, and the resistance value of both pole terminals T1, T2 is R3+R5. The SW1 can be changed independently into an open state from the close state and the SW2 into a close state from the open state througn trimming. Each value of R3, R3+R4, R3+R5 and R3+R4+R5 can be taken through the combination of connection. The bringing of the SW1 to the open state means that an Al wiring is blown out by a laser, and the bringing of the SW2 to the close state means that the anode and cathode of a Zener diode ZD are short-circuited. Accordingly, an initial design value of the resistor can be taken as a final target value by using the resistor, and only resistance displaced from a desired value may be trimmed, thus shortening trimming time, then improving mass productivity.
