Common use device of antenna tower for ratio broadcast
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To protect equipment, by arranging a dielectric rod between small- sized electromagnetic horns mounted on opposing sections of SHF band parabola antennas fitted onto a radio broadcast iron tower so as to cut off a high frequency induced power to a waveguide system due to a broadcast wave and a falling of thunderbolt. CONSTITUTION:The parabola antennas for STL line of SHF band are fitted to the upper part of the radio broadcast iron tower and a radio broadcast antenna tower common device is inserted into the lower part of the waveguide system falling down along the iron tower and the like. The opposing sections are formed respectively to square waveguides 1, 1' at the antenna side and the equipment side of the common use device with waveguides 4, 4' converting square shape into circular shape, and the sections are fitted respectively with conical horns 2, 2'. The dielectric rod 5 is inserted between the horns 2, 2', and brought into contact with circular waveguides 3, 3'. Further, corona rings 6, 6' are arranged at the end of horns 2, 2', the common use device is contained in a metallic cylinder 8 with shield cover having a dielectric plate 10 and a corona ring 9, allowing to cut off the high frequency induced power to the waveguides due to the broadcast wave and the falling of thunderbolt.
