Photographic silver halide material

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the sticking of dust and the formation of a static mark and to inhibit scratch and pressure fog by forming an electrically conductive layer contg. an inorg. oxide and by interposing an intermediate layer between said layer and a silver halide emulsion layer so as to improve the antistatic properties. CONSTITUTION:An electrically conductive layer contg. an inorg. oxide is formed, and an intermediate layer is interposed between said layer and a silver halide emulsion layer. The intermediate layer is made of a hydrophilic polymer such as gelatin and has about 0.1-5mum thickness. It is very effective in inhibiting pressure fog and scratch. The intermediate layer may be a layer having other purpose such as an antihalation layer or an underlayer. The electrically conductive layer is required to contain particles of an electrically conductive inorg. oxide with <= about 10<7>OMEGAcm volume resistivity such as ZnO. By interposing the intermediate layer between the electrically conductive layer and a silver halide emulsion layer, the sticking of dust and the formation of a static mark are prevented, and scratch and pressure fog can be inhibited.
