Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To enable to rewind an ink sheet by a simple construction and avoid wasting the ink sheet, by a method wherein a take-up roll is given a turning torque in a taking-up direction, while a supplying roll is given a turning torque in a direction opposite to a supplying direction, and an ink sheet is fed by a platen roller. CONSTITUTION:The take-up roll 52 is given a turning torque in the taking-up direction through a clutch mechanism, while the supplying roll 51 is given a turning torque in the direction opposite to the supplying direction through a clutch mechanism, and the ink sheet 46 is maintained in a tensioned condition. Therefore, when the platen roller 40 is rotated in the direction of an arrow B, the ink sheet 46 is fed in the taking-up direction, and when the roller 40 is rotated in the direction of an arrow C, the ink sheet 46 is fed in the rewinding direction. A driving motor 57 is rotated in a fixed direction, and the ink sheet 46 can be fed both in the rewinding direction and in the taking-up direction by rotating the platen roller 40 forward or reversely. Accordingly, when the ink sheet 46 is rewound after finishing recording and discharging the recording paper, the sheet 46 can be continuously used in next-time recording, so that loss of the sheet 46 can be obviated.
