Automatic program searching device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make the program search for a desired program speedily and accurately by setting a still picture reproductin mode for a specific time every time a program search signal is detected once a rapid traverse mode is set initially. CONSTITUTION:When the program search signal is detected from a recording tape 21 in fast-forward mode, an FF circuit 27 is set, and a data selector circuit 29 sends a signal S4 from a still picture reproduction mode circuit 28 to a reel motor driving circuit 30. Then, a reel motor 31 stops and the recording tape 21 is reproduced in still picture mode. A setting circuit 35 for still picture reproduction time outputs a reset signal S6 in said state a specific time later. The signal S6 resets the FF circuit 27, and consequently the data selector circuit 29 supplies a rapid traverse mode setting signal S3 to a reel motor driving circuit 30 to forward the tape 21 fast again. Thus, the search for a program is made speedily and accurately.
