Negative type silver halide photosensitive material
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To enhance dot enlarging characteristics as inverted characteristics by specifying optical density in the specified region of a nonphotosensitive layer contg. a dye. CONSTITUTION:A nonphotosensitive layer is formed between a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and a support and/or on the side of the support opposite to the emulsion layer. A dye is incorporated in said nonphotosensitive layer so as to control the optical density of said layer to <=0.35 in the 350- 400nm wave-length region. A preferable dye is represented by formulae I , II, and III. Silver halide used for the silver halide emulsion is silver chlorobromide or chloroiodo-bromide, preferably contg. 3-20mol% silver bromide in both cases. Average grain diameter of this silver halide is <=250nm and it consists of monodispersed grains.
