Molding method of packing material

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To singly handle a packing material further to perform its molding in good accuracy, by injecting a foamable material mixed with a water absorptive resin to a space between a part of an enclosed unit and a jig and expanding and solidifying the foamable material. CONSTITUTION:Because a packing material 10 is formed of a foamable material, the packing material 10 having a good shape following-up characteristic for a complicated shape of an enclosed body and difference between compressive forces at mounting, etc. and a high water seal effect, is obtained. Further because the packing material 10 can be directly molded on the enclosed body 8, the shape of the packing material 10 is well suited to the shape of the body 8, and the necessity for adhesive work of the packing material 10 to the enclosed body 8 is eliminated. Still further a prescribed amount of water absorptive resin is mixed with the foamable material, and the water absorptive resin is expanded to include cells peculiar to the foamable material by absorption of water, in this way, the packing material 10 with high water-tightness can be molded of the foamable material.
