Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make it possible to make constitution compact, in a printing apparatus such as automatic cash depositing and payment machine, by printing medii on a first and a second conveying paths by one printing head by providing both conveying paths in close vicinity to each other in parallel. CONSTITUTION:The conveying path 1 of a passbook BB and the conveying path 2 of a journal JA are provided in parallel in adjacent relation to each other and the moving path of a printing head 3 is provided so as to traverse the printing places of both conveying paths in a straight line. In this case, the printing head 3 is engaged with the spiral groove provided to the peripheral surface of a cylinder 4 by the projection thereof and moved by the rotation of the cylinder 4 to print predetermined items to the passbook BB and/or the journal JA. In addition, the printing head 3 is controlled in the movement thereof by the position signals of an intermediate sensor 11, a left sensor 12 and a right sensor 13 and, at the same time, the movement of the first and second conveying paths 1, 2 is also controlled by said positional signals. By this mechanism, constitution is made compact and an occupation space can be made small.
