cleaning equipment
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of a picture quality due to the scattering and loss of a toner by forming a projection on a press-contact surface to the photosensitive body of a sealing material on both ends of a cleaning blade, and also forming an air-gap part so as to be adjacent to and parallel to said projection. CONSTITUTION:The sealing material 5 is disposed to press an elastic member 6 with the front edge 1a of both side walls of a casing 1 of a cleaning device, and to press-contact a face having a projection 7a of a sheet material 7 to the surface of a photosensitive body. Accordingly, the projection 7a is pressed to retract and to form an air-gap 8 in the vicinity of, and in parallel to the projection 7a for the sheet material 7. By placing this sealing material 5 on both outside ends of a cleaning blade 2, a toner leaking out of both its ends rotates almost by one rotation on the surface of the photosensitive body to be caught exactly at the position of the projection 7a and stays in the air-gap 8. In this way, the deterioration of a picture quality caused by the toner scattered and lost in the device is prevented.
