Control method of idling speed for internal-combustion engine
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To make improvements in transient controllability as well as to make the stable idling operation of an engine performable, by controlling an idling speed in a way of multivariable part control by means of a low dimension, approximated dynamic model, while absorbing a portion for approximate errors with an integrating action. CONSTITUTION:A state observation apparatus 13 stores a low dimension, approximated dynamic model for an engine being subject to control and inputs those of data on pulse width PA driving a control solenoid for a VCM valve, ignition timing IT and idling speed N, then calculates an estimated value x' of a state variable X representing the inside state. And, with an integrating action, a gain block 14 inputs the estimated value x' and a deviation between the idling speed N and a desired value Nr, and then controls the idling speed with the control signal PA and the ignition timing IT by a proportional integrating action. With the idling speed made into approximation like this, counting time is shortened, while a portion for approximate errors is absorbed by the integrating action and, what is more, a controlling transient response is optimized, thus stable idling speed control comes to fruition.
