Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent breathing of engine under acceleration by slowing the throttle valve opening speed when the variation speed of the stepping of accelerator is higher than predetermined level while the engine temperature is lower than predetermined level. CONSTITUTION:Under travelling of car, the stepping of an accelerator pedal 1 is detected by an accelerator opening detector 2 to feed a signal through an amplifier 3 to a differential amplifier 4 then a difference against a signal from a throttle valve opening detector 10 is produced to drive a motor 8 thus to control a throttle valve 9. The output from said accelerator opening detector 2 is provided to a differentiator 11 then compared with the referential level in a comparator 12 while the cooling water temperature of engine is detected by a water temperature sensor then compared with the referential level in a comparator 14 and when the accelerator stepping speed and the water temperature exceed over predetermined levels, a signal is fed from AND gate 15 to the amplifier 3 thus to decrease the amplification factor. Since the throttle valve will open slowly at the initial stage of acceleration, the air/fuel ratio of the mixed gas will be lean resulting in prevension of breathing.
