Working method of oil groove of columnar member

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To form intersecting oil grooves by rolling on the surface of a columnar member, by holding the columnar member between a pair of flat dies having teeth different in the direction of torsion and moving the flat dies in the direction reverse to each other. CONSTITUTION:Teeth 3a, 4a of a pair of flat dies 3, 4 have the reverse direction of torsion and correspond to oil grooves 2a, 2b worked on the surface of a columnar member 1 and different in the direction of torsion. By rotating the pair of flat dies 3, 4 once in the reverse direction, the columnar member 1 rotates following the movement of flat dies 3, 4, and intersecting oil grooves 2a, 2b of high working accuracy are formed on the surface.
