Ceramic vane wheel

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the thermal influence for a joint part and the thermal transfer to a shaft, by installing a cylindrical sleeve onto the boss part of a vane wheel, apart from the vane wheel, and fixing a shaft member onto the annular edge surface of the sleeve. CONSTITUTION:Onto the boss part 1' of a vane wheel 1 made of ceramic, a cylindrical sleeve 2 having the thermal expansion rate at the equal level to that of the ceramic member is joined, separated by a distance l from the vane wheel 1. A space 5 is formed at the annular edge surface of the cylindrical sleeve 2, and a metal shaft 2 is fixed onto the space. Since the joint part is separated by lfrom the vane wheel 1, the thermal influence for the joint part is recuced, and the thermal transfer to the shaft 3 can be reduced by forming the space 5.
