Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make a running board flush with the surface of platform and to house the running board underneath the platform automatically, by a method wherein the rear edge of an arm having an operating unit is hinged at the front edge of the running board and a driving unit is connected with the operating unit. CONSTITUTION:The rear edge of an arm part is hinged on the front edge of a running board 2 and the front edge of the arm part is connected with an operating unit which travels on a rail 10. A slider 42 interlocking with the operating unit 3 in a body is driven by a cylinder rod. The operating unit 3 rotating around a roll shaft 32 by making it into a falcrum is made capable of moving the upper surface 2a of the front edge of the running board 2 upward to the upper position flush with the surface (a) of a platform. When the cylinder rod is driven for a retreat the running board 2 is moved to the lower surface of the platform for housing. With this, an operator can draw out the running board 2 from the lower surface of te platform automatically, which can be flush with the surface of the platform, and can house it by an operation of a control lever only.
