Recovery of urokinase
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To recover high-purity urokinase in high yield industrially advantageously, by treating human unrine or a urokinase-containing solution with perlite. CONSTITUTION:Human urine or a urokinase-containing solution whose electric conductivity is adjusted to 10-20millimho/cm is brought into contact with usually about 400-1,600mg based on 1l raw urine of perlite which is previously treated with 1N-hydrochloric acid so that urokinase is adsorbed on it. The perlite is then washed with 0.1-0.5M aqueous solution of salt, and treated with an alkali aqueous solution in a pH of 9.5-12.0 or 4wt% ammonia water to which 0.1-0.5M salt is added, so that urokinase is eluted.
