Automatic coater
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To uniformalize the quality of coated articles, by detecting the configuration of a workpiece to be coated at an article-detecting part, recording it in a memory circuit, and automatically controlling a coating distance between a coater and the workpiece to be coated at the optimum value on the basis of the memory circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a workpiece 13 to be coated being carried by a conveyer 10 reaches the position of a detecting means 21, detecting output is obtained from each detecting part 24, 25, 26 and recorded in each memory circuit 50, 30, 31, respectively. When the workpiece 13 to be coated reaches the position of the main body 15 of the coating apparatus, output is obtained from each of the memory circuits 30, 31, and then output is obtained from the AND circuit 46 of each circuit 40, 41 for controlling the spray of a coating agent. The main body 15 of the coating apparatus is advanced in a predetermined distance toward the workpiece 13 by output CS4 from the memory circuit 50, and paint is sprayed from coaters 17, 18 by controlling outputs CS1, CS2 to coat the single surface of the workpiece 13 to be coated. The other surface is coated by the main body 15' of the coating apparatus in the same way.
