Carburetor percolation preventive method and device thereof
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obviate the occurence of a percolation phenomenon in a carburetor float chamber without releasing any fuel-steam in the air, by draining fuel from the inside of a carburetor float chamber and returning it to a fuel tank when such a state happens in the said chamber. CONSTITUTION:If the percolation phenomenon in a float chamber 13 comes into existence, a temperatue sensor TS is closed and a relay R2 is excited whereby a select switch SW is turned to the side of a contact C2, connecting a motor pump 24 to a battery terminal circuit B. As a result, when an internal-combustion engine comes to a stop as an ignition switch 14 is opened, the first and second solenoid vlaves 23 and 26 are closed, while the third solenoid valve 27 is opened so that the motor pump 24 keeps up its operation only during the stated time set with a delay-motion relay R1. With ths, all the fuel inside the float chamber 24 is bailed out by the motor pump 24 and put back into a fuel tank 30 via the second capillary tube 22 and a branch capillary tube 21a.
