Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To eliminate erroneous detection by secondary reflection and to detect shapes correctly by scanning spot light onto an object having a metallic mirror surface, scanning an image pickup device in synchronization with the spot light and detecting the shape of the object. CONSTITUTION:The slender laser beam outputted from a laser light source 8 is reflected by a galvanomirror 9, passes through a projecting lens 10 and forms a spot 16 on an object. The spot 16 moves on the object in a broken line direction when scanned by the galvanomirror 9. In synchronization with the movement, an imade detector 12 is scanned, whereby the shape of the object is detected.
