High speed pattern generator

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To generate a pattern at a high speed, by constituting so as to make an access operation to a memory and a processing operation of a data read out from the memory process simultaneously and in parallel. CONSTITUTION:In 1 period of a system clock of a pattern generator, an access operation for reading out the contents from control memories 11, 12 of a prescribed address, and a data processing operation for operating a data read out in its previous period are executed simultaneously. Therefore, the minimum time of an operation speed of a testing device is decided by a larger time of a program data processing time or a data read-out time. Accordingly, in this way, a virtual memory access time can be made zero, and a pattern can be generated at a high speed.
