Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To develop an image having high quality, by using a developing brushing roller in which the length and size of fibers of a developing brush are chosen suitably. CONSTITUTION:A developing brush 5 having a fiber shape is formed on the surface of a developing brushing roller 4. The length (l)mm. and size D denier of fibers of the brush 5 satisfy the relation of l<=0.435D+0.695 and the size of these fibers is chosen in <=3 denier. A developer 3 in a hopper 2 is supplied to the brush 5 through a supplying roller 6. The developing brush 5 on which the developer is applied is brought into contact with a latent image supporting material 1 and a development by the developer 3 is performed. By using the developing brush roller providing the developing brush chosen in such a way, an image having high quality is developed.
