Heat-sensitive recording material
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To raise the density and sensitivity of coloration by adding a specific divalent phenolic derivative to a heat-sensitive recording material composed of an electron-donative colorless dye and an electron-accepting compound. CONSTITUTION:A dispersion liquid containing an electron-donative colorless dye (e.g., crystal violet lactone), an electron-accepting compound (e.g., beta- naphthol), and a divalent pehnolic derivative of the formula (where R1 is alkyl, or aralkyl and R2 is H, alkyl, aralkyl, aryl, alkylcarbonyl or arylsulfonyl) is prepared. The dispersion is coated on a base paper to form an objective heat- sensitive recording material. The divalent phenolic derivative of the formula includes p-benzyloxyphenylhexyl ether, p-anisilbenzyl ether, resorcylbenzyl ether, etc., for example.
