Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To simplify a copying device and prevent the occurrence of oscillation and shock for driving of an optical system, by driving plural pulse motors on a bisis of the same control pulse. CONSTITUTION:Excitation phases are switched successively by excitation phase switching pulses, which are outputted from an output port in accordance with the timing based on timer set data, to rotate pulse motors 50 and 51 as prescribed. In the acceleration time, the phase switching time is shortened gradually, and therefore, pulse motors 50 and 51 are accelerated slowly, and first and second carriages 40 and 41 are moved without oscillation and the action of impact load, and it is unnecessary to extend the auxiliary stroke before the start of scanning of a lamp 23 or the like. Consequently, a high-reliability scanning is possible in the uniform-speed time, and the device can be made small- sized.
