Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable to let the misfire of only one burner result the extinction of all burners by a method wherein reed relays actuated by thermal electromotive force are provided at respective burning parts of the combustion equipment equipped with a plurality of the burning parts and the switch parts of said relays are connected in series together with the coil part of a gas valve. CONSTITUTION:In order to put a burner 2 to use, an auxiliary lever 15 is pushed to open the gas valve 10 and as well as a knob 12b is pushingly turned to close a switch 12a and to open a cock 12c. As a result, gas is supplied to the burner 2 and ignited by an ignitor 16. A thermocouple generates thermal electromotive force with the ignition of the burner 2 so as to excite a coil 8a to close a reed switch 8b, resulting in keeping the gas valve 10 at open state in order to open a gas passage 14. Under the condition as mentioned above, other burners 1 and 3 are ignited only by pushingly turning knobs 11b and 13b. Because no thermal electromotive force is generated when misfire occurs at the burner 2, the switch 8b is opened, resulting in closing the gas valve 10.
