Inspecting method for running printed matter

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of malfunction due to a change in a position of a design in a direction of a width of a printed matter, and to obtain a reliable inspecting result, by a method wherein a change in a position in the direction of the width of the design is detected, a content of a reference value memory is rewritten where a given occasion arises. CONSTITUTION:A design position detector 16 detects a position in a direction of a width of a design printed on a surface of a printed matter 1 running through the working of a rotary cylinder 2, and outputs a design position signal to an inside bus through a design position signal input circuit 17. A referece value memory rewriting signal generating circuit 18 inputs the design position signal from the design position detector 16, it holds a design position data obtained when data is written in a reference memory 6, and it compares said data with design position data inputted each time data is written in a detecting value memory 7. If a difference between the two data exceeds a given value, a reference value memory rewriting signal is generated.
