Electric control apparatus for diesel engine

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To achieve purification of exhaust gas and lowering of fuel consumption, by controlling the fuel injection timing and the rate of exhaust-gas recirculation (EGR) after detecting them from the operational conditions of an engine. CONSTITUTION:An electric calculating means 2 for controlling the fuel injection timing and the rate of EGR of a Diesel engine B determines an aimed fuel injection timing and an aimed rate of EGR from the operational conditions of the engine, and operates a fuel injection timing controlling means 5 and an EGR- rate controlling means 8 to correct the actual fuel injection timing and EGR-rate to the respective aimed values. Therefore, it is enabled to control the fuel injection timing and the EGR-rate with high accuracy and at a high speed, so that purification of exhaust gas and lowering of fuel consumption of the Diesel engine can be both achieved at the same time.
