Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the illumination efficiency, by using a cylindrical lens and arranging a light source in the focus position of the reflective mirror having a curve of second degree. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical lens 12 is arranged in the aperture part of a parabolic reflective mirror 10, and the axis of the reflective mirror 10 coincides with an optical axis C of the lens 12, and a focus (O) of the reflective mirror 10 is placed in the position which is twice as distant as a focal length (f) of the lens 12. End parts 10a and 10b of the parabolic reflective mirror 10 are brought into contact with the part near both end parts of the lens 12, and a lamp 11 is arranged in the position of the focus (O) of the parabolic reflective mirror 10. Lights going toward all of the inside face of the reflective mirror, namely, lights of angular components OMEGA1 out of light components from the lamp 11 are reflected so as to be parallel with the optical axis C and are condensed in a focus position F' after passage through the lens 12, and lights of angular components OMEGA2 other than lights of angular components OMEGA1 go toward the lens as they are and are condensed in a point O' and pass on a plane 13 with a width of a range (h), and thus, a slit 14 having the width (h) is provided to use all lights as illumination lights.
