Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To attain stable operation, by releasing the transmission between an operating member and a cam even under the pressing operation of a head and avoiding the transmission between them from being released, even if the operation of the operating member is released during the tape running direction conversion. CONSTITUTION:In loading a cassette to a device during nonoperation as shown in figure, a release plunger 13 is energized, a stopper member 12 is turned counterclockwise to turn a cam 5 counterclockwise via a spring 11 and a roller 10 and an operating member 16 presses a head 19. When the power application to the releasing plunger 13 is disconnected, the transmission between the cam 5 and the member 16 is released with a control member 22 even during the pressing position and on the way of pressing. Through the driving of the cam 5 and the member 16, the running direction of a tape is switched with a switching member 7. While the member 7 is in operation, even if the operation of the member 16 is released, the transmission between the cam 5 and the member 7 can not be released. Thus, unstable state can be prevented and the tape is run with a stable state.
