Two-system type brake hydraulic pressure keeping apparatus

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To facilitate the starting on a slope, by pressing down a clutch pedal as well as turning a gear switch on to keep the braking action, and releasing the clutch pedal to release the braking action. CONSTITUTION:The systems of a tandem brake master cylinder 1 are connected through a two-system type hydraulic check valve 4 respectively to wheel cylinders 2, 3. Said check valve 4 can act, by the hydraulic pressure produced in a clutch master cylinder 10 by pressing down the clutch pedal, to prevent an oil from flowing from the wheel cylinder 2, 3 to the brake master cylinder 10. The brake master cylinder 1 and the wheel cylinders 2, 3 are also connected via electromagnetic check valves 9, 9'. Said check valves 9, 9', when either a low gear switch 7 or a back gear switch 8 is ON, can act to prevent the oil from flowing from the wheel cylinders 2, 3 to the brake master cylinder 1.
