Cooler for printing head

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To send air only to a printing head by mounting a converter mechanism to convert the reciprocating movement of a carriage into one-way turning movement and an air fan to be connected to the converter mechanism on the printing head. CONSTITUTION:A converter mechanism 13 is provided to a carriage 1 on which a printing head 15 is mounted, by which reciprocal movement of the carriage along its guide shaft 2 is converted into one-way turning movement and an air fan 11 mounted on the carriage 1 is likewise turned. The converter mechanism 3 is formed by laying ropes 8 and 9 on two coaxial pulleys 4 and 5 and then fixing both ends of the ropes 8 and 9 to a standing object. The pulleys 4 and 5 are incorporated with one-way clutches and the shaft 6 of both the pulleys 4 and 5 is turned in only one direction. The shaft 6 is connected with the air fan 11.
