Reader for double sided original

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the reading efficiency of an original, by providing an original inverting means between the 1st and 2nd original carrying means, and inverting the original passed through the 1st original carrying means to feed it to the 2nd original carrying means. CONSTITUTION:An original 2 put on an original supply tray 3 is sent onto a reading plate 9 via an original feed roller 5, resist rollers 7 and 8, and a guide plate 11. An original holding roller 12 is pressed on a glass plate 9A of the plate 9 to form an original reading part 13. The original 2 carried to the part 13 is read through a photoelectric converting part 16. The original 2 read with its single side is inverted by an original inverting means 17 and then supplied to the part 13 via feed rollers 18 and 19. Thus the other side of the original 2 is read. Afterwards, the original 2 is discharged to an original discharge tray 28 by discharge rollers 23 and 24.
