Standby control method

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption during standby operation by cutting off an unnecessary current to a circuit other than the circuit for a microcomputer during a standby period of the microcomputer. CONSTITUTION:The 1st power source Vcc1 supplies a current to a microcomputer 3 during normal operation, and the 2nd power source Vcc2 supplies a current to a sensor S, etc. By receiving an input from a standby control part 5, the computer 3 controls a power source control part 4, and also turns off by a standby input. When the standby input is reset, a voltage Vcc2 is generated through the power source control part 4. The 2nd power source cutoff detection part 6 monitors the generation and interception of the voltage Vcc2 and also functions to reset the system according to the presence of the standby input when the Vcc2 is not cut off during standby operation.
