Synthetic aperture radar image processing system
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To execute picture forming processing at a high speed, by converting each processor required for picture forming to a multistage pipeline, operating it, and also using a two-dimensional addressing memory in case of corner turning processing. CONSTITUTION:Receiving picture information from an aperture radar, generated from a magnetic tape 505 is subjected to serial-parallel conversion, etc., is processed by a high speed Fourier transform device 513 of a range direction compressing device 510, an inverse Fourier transform device IFFT 516, etc., becomes a visible picture information compressed in the range direction, and is written in a two-dimensional addressing picture memory 10. These devices 513, 516, etc. execute an operation converted to a multistage pipeline, and the number of times of calculation processing is decreased, therefore, the processings speed is increased substantially. On the other hand, in the same way in accordance with contents of this memory 10, etc., compression processing in the azimuth direction, for executing the corner turning processing is executed quickly without executing rearrangement by a program for the memory of the two-dimensional addressing method. By said constitution, a processing speed for picture forming can be elevated.
