Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable to vary the discharge quantity of a compressor with ease, by providing a solenoid valve in a return passage, and communicating a discharge port selectively to a suction port or an external place where high-pressure gas is to be used. CONSTITUTION:Gas compressed in a compression chamber 21 is carried into a high pressure chamber 43 via a discharge port 35, a discharge chamber 45 and a passage 46, and gas in the high pressure chamber 43 is supplied to a condenser. Here, since a signal from a control circuit is applied to a solenoid valve 41 and a discharge chamber 37 is communicated with a suction port 33 via a return passage 40, all of the gas discharged from the discharge port 35 is returned to the suction port 33. Resultantly, compression of gas is not effected by a rotor 26, so that the driving force of the compressor is reduced.
