Composition for absorption refrigerator

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:The titled composition that is composed of a chlorodifluoromethane refrigerant, a specific polyethylene glycol dimethyl ether absorbent, and a tribasic phosphite stabilizer, thus being enough resistant to formation of hydrogen fluoride and hydrogen chloride even at elevated temperatures. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is obtained by combining (A) a chlorodifluoromethane refrigerant, (B) an absorbent of polyethylene glycol dimethyl ether of formula I (n is 2-5), preferably tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether, (C) a stabilizer of a tribasic phosphite, preferably a compound of formula II (R1- R3 are alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, cycloalkyl) or an epoxide, preferably a glycidyl ether type epoxide or epoxidized fatty acid ester, wherein the weight ratio of A to B is preferably 5/95-60/40 and the content of C is 0.05-5wt% based on the composition.
