2 color schilieren projection device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To offer a 2 color picture projection device which is high in its performance and small-sized, by providing a reflector having 2 dielectric mirror parts for reflecting the differenr wavelength, and also orthogonally placing 2 condensing lenses and a display device. CONSTITUTION:A reflector 5 is constituted of dielectric mirror parts 5a, 5b whose wavelength characteristics are different, so that it is capable of selectively reflecting and transmitting the wavelength of white light. For instance, the mirror part 5a is constituted so as to reflect blue light and to transmit red light, and the mirror part 5b is constituted in reverse. Blue light of white light 2 is reflected by the mirror part 5a, is made incident to a display device 7, and the reflected ray passes through the mirror part 5b, and becomes projection light 10 to a screen. Also, the red light passes through the mirror part 5a, is reflected by a display device 9, and the reflected ray is reflected by the mirror part 5b, and becomes projection light 11. Therefore, it is possible to obtain a 2 color picture projection device which is high in the utilization factor of the quantity of projection light, high in its performance, and small-sized.
