Optical sensor
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain an optical sensor which is capable of extracting specified wavelength by only combination of lens system and an optical fiber, by setting a photodetecting end face of the optical fiber onto the optical axis of the condensing lens system, so that its end face is almost orthogonal to the optical axis. CONSTITUTION:A titled optical sensor consists of a convex lens 1, an optical fiber 2 and a hood 3, and when parallel light is made incident from the left side of the lens 1, as for the end face of the optical fiber 2 of the right side, the diameter of its photodetecting end face is 50-100mu when a general optical fiber is used. Subsequently, light passing through the lens 1 forms a focus at plural points f1-f3 of the left side of the lens 1. In case of general solar light, a spectrum distribution of a wide band extending from ultraviolet rays from infrared rays is executed, the light passing through the lens 1 comes to have a focus corresponding to its wavelength, and light of short wavelength and light of long wavelength are positioned at a point f1 side and a point f2 side, respectively. Accordingly, when a photodetecting area of the optical fiber 2 is small, it is possible to obtain an optical sensor for detecting only specified wavelength, by a distance between this optical fiber end 4 and the lens 1.
