Connector dropout detecting circuit for bus cable
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To realize a bus circuit with high reliability, by stopping the reception of a bus signal after discriminating an interruption of a loop circuit as a failure when the interruption is detected, disconnecting the loop from the post-stage devices and informing the failure to the post-stage device. CONSTITUTION:Channel devices SPA, SPB are connected with an SP bus cable CBL and an SP bus signal is transmitted from the SPA to the SPB. The SPB is provided with a driver DVB and a receiver RVB, and the driver output is connected to the SPA via the cable CBL. In the device SPA, a loop is formed through a contact rlyA of a relay RLYA to form a loop circuit folded to the cable CBL and received at the receiver RVB. If the cable CBL is dropped out at connector A or B, the loop is disconnected, the input to the receiver RVB is opened, a relay driver RLDB is driven, a relay RLYB is actuated and a contact rlyB is opened. Thus, the failure is informed to the next device.
