Capsulated toner
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent an offsetting phenomenon by forming a capsulated toner for pressure fixing with grafted carbon black as the core substance, a binder and a specified resin as the material of the shell which is formed around the core substance. CONSTITUTION:Polystyrene-grafted carbon black is used as the core substance of a capsulated toner for recordong by converting a latent image on an electrophotographic receptor into a visible image, and the toner is formed with the grafted carbon black kneaded with DBP as the core substance and polyurethane resin or polyurea resin as the material of the shell which is formed around the core substance. By mixing 5pts.wt. of the capsulated toner with 95pts.wt. iron powder as a carrier, a developer is obtd. The developer is patternwise transferred on prescribed paper and pressure fixed by means of a roller to obtain a high-quality image without causing an offsetting phenomenon.
