Paper leaf separator

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To promote the capacity to separate papers by providing a concave part on one side of a level guide equipped on a guide block and giving flexion and pressure to paper leaves held between a sector drum and the level guide by the level difference of the concave part. CONSTITUTION: A sector drum 4 with a high frictional part 4a is provided at the central part of a frame body A to be rotatable, while a guide block 6 is provided near the drum 4. A level guide 5 equipped on the guide block 6 is provided with a concave part 5a on the contacting face with the sector drum 4 for obtaining a level difference 5b. The width D of the concave part 5a is selected to be wider than the width (d) of the sector drum 4. When a paper leaf 1 is guided between the sector drum 4 and the level guide 5, it is given a flexion pressure by the concave part 5a, and the difference between frictional forces permits to promote the capacity of separation effectively.
