Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To keep the preheating temperature of a glow plug constant irrespective of any change in power voltage by changing the level of output voltage so as to correct any change in the preheating temperature of a glow plug caused by a variation of the power voltage. CONSTITUTION: A capacitor 17 is charged through resistors 22 to 24 and a diode 21 in response to the terminal voltage of glow plugs 4 to 7. The power voltage is detected by resistors 35 and 36 and reference voltage V r is generated by a Zener diode 33 and an OP amp. 31. When the voltage relationship is set to V r <V c , current is not applied to the glow plugs 4 to 7. Then, the glow plugs are fed with power through a resistor 10 during cranking. Thus, the preset preheating temperature can be maintained irrespective of any fluctuation of battery voltage. The temperature characteristics of the Zener diode 33 permit correction of ambient temperature. COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
