Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent generation of curl, transfer and static electricity, by providing an auxiliary metallic thin film layer having low coercive force, on the opposite side of a magnetic metallic thin film of a base film. CONSTITUTION:On one surface of a base film 1b consisting of a flexible high polymer film, etc., a magnetic metallic thin film 1a consisting of a Co-Cr alloy, etc. for vertical magnetization recording is provided by means of vapor deposition, sputtering, ion plating, etc., and also an auxiliary metallic thin film 1c having low coercive force, consisting of a permalloy layer, etc. is provided on the opposite side of the base film 1b.
