Electromagnetic wave-shielding electrically conductive plastic composition

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: The titled resin compostion moldable by a common molder, prepd. by compounding a thermoplastic plastic with a specified amt. of fiber and powder of iron, an alloy thereof, nickel, etc. CONSTITUTION: Metal fiber of iron, an alloy thereof, nickel, etc. of sectional area about 0.00005W0.0075mm 2 and length about 0.5W5mm, and metal powder of iron, an alloy thereof, nickel, etc. of particle size ≤about 100 mesh, are used. Namely, a thermoplastic plastic such as polyethylene or ABS resin is mixed with 0.2W5vol% said metal fiber and 1W10vol% said metal powder, which are homogeneously dispersed.
