Method of development processing of color photographic material

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To raise developing velocity and sensitivity without casusing environmental pollution, by using a black-and-white developing solution containing a sulfur-combined linear compound in carrying out silver dye bleach process or reversal color development process of a silver halide color photographic material. CONSTITUTION: The process of silver dye bleach or reversal color development of an exposed silver halide color photographic mateiral uses a black-and-while developing solution containing a compound represented by the formulaIin which R 1 is 2W10C alkylene, which may have an ether bond; R 2 is 2W10C alkyl, which may have an ether or ester bond; and (d) is 0W3, such as a compound of the formula II, III, or IV. This process permits harmful substances not to be produced, fog not to increase, developing velocity to rise, and effective sensitivity to rise, and as a further advantage, silver sludge to be produced in a small amount.
