Hand scanning device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To read and scan printings printed on the surface of packed body, etc., by installing an image sensor and a photoelectric conversion element to the main body of a equipment to be moved manually, reading scale at regular intervals by the photoelectric conversion element, and controlling the reading operation of the image sensor with the output of the photoelectric conversion element. CONSTITUTION:A scale reading device consisting of a light source 6 for photoelectric conversion element, an optical system 7, a slit 8, and a photoelectric conversion element 9, is installed to a main body 2 to be moved manually. Pulses are generated at every time when the scale on a rule 11 installed along the moving route of the main body is read, and scanning lines are run in accordance with the pulse thus generated. This scanning line is made when a reading and scanning device consisting of a light source for image sensor 3, an optical system 4 and an image sensor 5 which are installed to the main body 2, respectively, moves over an object 10. To facilitate the movement, wheels 1 are installed to the main body 2.
