Sliding roof mechanism for vehicle

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To stabilize closing operation of the movable lid as well as to simplify the driving gear by means of enabling its rear vertical movement without dependence upon a link mechanism, etc., in a movable lid which provides front and rear shoes to be slid along a guide rail. CONSTITUTION: A sliding roof has a movable lid 3 inserted to the roof opening port 2 of a roof panel 1. Here, a guide plate 23 is fixed in the front part at the lower side of the movable lid 3, and a guide pin 26 at the upper end of a front shoe 7f is inserted to be freely slidable to a front upturned guide slit 24 of the same plate 23. The upper end part of a rear shoe 7r in the rear part of the guide plate 23 is then coupled by means of a pin 25. A supporting device 29 which is formed to give impetus of a spring to one pair of links 29, 29 in the mutual separating directions is installed at the rear portion of the guide plate 23. In addition, a stopper device 34 which is assembled by brackets 36, 38 which are pivotally supported by means of a pin 35, and a plate spring 43 which is inserted to be freely slidable in the groove 42 of a guide rail 6 is installed at the intermediate part of the movable lid 3.
