Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain the small-sized, light-weighted and low-cost abrasion limit detecting circuit for the carbon brush by a method wherein an abrasion detecting element is buried in the abrasion limit point of a carbon brush and when the abrasion developed to this detecting element section, a signal is outputted and a warning is given. CONSTITUTION:The abrasion detecting element 4 is buried at the depth of the abrasion limit point of the carbon brush. Then a switching element 10, which will be turned to ON by a signal outputted when the abrasion of the carbon brush 3 developed to the abrasion limit point of the detecting element 4, the warning lamp is lit through the action of a relay 12 with the help of the switching element 10 and the abrasion limit of the carbon brush is notified to the operator.
